Lily Flowering Tulip Claudia Bulbs (Potted)

£11.65

Qty:

Beautifully coloured and well proportioned, Lily Flowering Tulip ‘Claudia’ adds a rush of late spring colour and structure when the flowers bloom on towering stems in May.  Grow the stunning blooms in the middle to back of the garden border where they will be protected from high winds.

Grey-green foliage sets off the dusky-violet tones of the petals which are edged with a clean white margin.

Tulip ‘Claudia’ is brilliant for picking - its extra-long stem length, unusual shape and tasteful shades make it a desirable spring bloom for flower arrangers.

Top size bulbs by de Jager in 9 cm pots, ready to be sent out in early February.

Care Guide

Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep, spaced 10-20cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.

After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
