Begonia Marginata Mix
B3543
Begonia 'Marginata Mix' is a stunning mix of begonias Crispa Marginata White and Crispa Marginata Yellow. Ruffled fiery red-edged blooms in shades of yellow and white that can reach up to 10 cm in diameter with dark green foliage. Our begonias flower for months on end, from May until at least September.
Begonias thrive best in light soil which is rich in leaf-mould, in a position in part shade where the layered flowers shimmer as they catch the light. Start in March or April, preferably in a cold frame or greenhouse.
Fill pots, hanging baskets, window-boxes, and borders with Marginata Mixed begonias for a show-stopping display. They can reach a flowering height of up to 20-25 cm.
de Jager's Begonia 'Marginata Mix' tubers are top quality, top size and really make a huge difference in terms of flowering.
Care Guide
Begonia tubers should be started in March or April, in a cold frame or greenhouse.
Choose a pot with a 20 cm diameter and several holes in the bottom for drainage. Fill it with rich, good quality compost, leaving a 5 cm gap from the rim. Plant your Begonia tuber with the hollow side uppermost, ensuring it sits 2.5 cm below the soil surface. Water consistently, keeping the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Place the pot undercover, in a shaded area with temperatures around 18-24°C and shoots will soon start to appear.
Once the danger of frost has passed, usually around the beginning of June, Begonias can be planted out.
In October, lift the tubers, remove faded foliage and store in a frost-free place, in dry compost or wood shavings.

Patty
G5002
Striking spears of pillar-box red blooms erupt during late summer from the corms of Glamini Gladioli ‘Patty’. Voluptuous, ruffled scarlet flowers smother the sword-like stems, opening from the base upwards. Each bloom fades to salmon-pink towards the centre and features pretty, contrasting white stripes.
An unusual, eye-catching choice for colourful patio pots and large containers. These ‘mini’ gladioli do not require any support and are half the height of their giant cousins. Useful for cutting, Gladioli Glamini 'Patty' adds drama and shape to seasonal flower displays.
de Jager top quality, top size Glamini Gladioli are best grown in fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny spot. Plant the corms a week or two apart throughout spring for a long succession of pretty flowers.

Amber
G5000
Glamini Gladioli ‘Amber’ is a new ‘mini’ form of gladiolus, perfect for summer containers, and for growing near the front of a border. The versatile flower spikes are ideal for punctuating a planting scheme with textured spires and make wonderful cut flowers.
Ruffled, creamy blooms with a hint of lilac, are packed along stems, opening from the base up from July onwards. Cut just as the lower buds begin to show colour for the longest vase-life.
Glamini Gladioli 'Amber' are best grown in fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny spot. Plant the corms a week or two apart throughout spring for a long succession of pretty ivory flowers.

Evi
G5006
Glamini Gladioli 'Evi' is a charming dwarf variety, shorter than the large flower gladiolus varieties, but still features the same large blooms. Its flowers open in soft pink, each bloom beautifully accented by deeper purple-pink throats and delicate white streaks that draw the eye to the centre.
Standing at a compact 50 - 60 cm, Glamini Gladioli 'Evi' offers all the architectural elegance of a classic gladiolus but in a more manageable, space-friendly form. Flowering from July onwards, ideal for planting in the flower border or in containers.
