Zantedeschia Picasso

A masterpiece of dramatic, bicolour blooms, Zantedeschia ‘Picasso’ is the magnum opus of Calla Lilies. This artistic variety sports spathes of velvety, aubergine purple framed by a cream rim, each encompassing a central golden spadix.
The spectacular blooms are highlighted by ornamental, glossy green leaves with prominent white brushstrokes and wavy edges. Native to wetland areas of Africa, Zantedeschia ‘Picasso’ brings a striking structural element to borders, bog gardens, ponds, streams, and well-watered containers. Protect these tender perennials from frosts and they will grow into impressive clumps.
The fluted flowers on strong stems make a magnificent, long-lasting addition to floral arrangements and bouquets.
Care Guide
Plant rhizomes 8-10 cm deep in a container filled with good quality, free-draining multi-purpose compost. Provide consistent watering, ensuring the soil stays moderately moist to maintain lush growth of your calla lilies.
Once flowers start to appear, feed plants every 3 weeks with high-potash liquid fertiliser.
Zantedeschia Aethiopica is the only fully hardy member of the family which may be grown outdoors all year round
