Turkish Cap Lilium Miss Feya

Lily ‘Miss Feya’ is a breathtakingly opulent, Turkish Cap type of magnificent proportions. Soaring to a height of up to 250cm when mature, provides a splendid focal point at the back of your borders from June to July.
Boasting glorious, grandiose blooms of crimson-red edged with glimmering silver, the petals are dramatically swept backwards, revealing elongated, pendulous stamens. Snip a few stems of Turkish Cap Lilium 'Miss Feya' to bring indoors and create jaw-dropping, fantastically fragrant floral arrangements. Once established, these bulbs with send up multiple stems to form a bushy, shrub-like appearance, becoming increasingly impressive each year.
Care Guide
To cultivate lilies, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil, digging a hole 15 cm deep. Plant the bulbs 15-23 cm apart, ensuring they sit 15 cm below the soil surface. Water the surrounding soil well, maintaining soil moisture until growth emerges. Young shoots may be susceptible to slug damage, so use wildlife-friendly methods such as a top layer of sand to protect emerging growth. Most Lilies can also be grown in pots – ensure containers are deep and have large drainage holes in the base. As the majestic stems ascend, they will reach heights of 45-150 cm, depending on variety. Support taller cultivars with stakes as they grow. Use dilute, balanced liquid plant feed every two weeks during the summer. Spray as soon as you notice the bright red lily beetle or their larvae.

Recipient of a prestigious award of garden merit from the RHS, this hardy and reliable cultivar produces up to 30 large, gracefully-poised, nodding flowers. The scented blooms are deep-orange in colour, with textured maroon speckles. Recurved petals expose elegant long green stamens and rust-coloured anthers, giving an exotic appearance.
