Siberian Iris Colonel Mustard
M5663
Iris Sibirica ‘Colonel Mustard’ is a standout iris prized for its bold, mustard-yellow falls accented with golden and coppery tones. Soft violet markings in the open blooms sits on narrow graceful sword-shape upright stems.
Flowering in late spring to early summer, Iris ‘Colonel Mustard’ with its copper-tones makes it an excellent choice for planting in mixed borders and containers.
Care Guide
Plant the teardrop bulbs in autumn with their pointy tips facing up, 10 cm deep and 8 cm apart in the soil. For best effect, grow in large groups.
Leave some foliage behind to die back naturally and feed the bulb for next year’s flowers. Bulbs will naturalise easily when left undisturbed in a warm, dry location.
