Care Guide
For best results, grow Eucomis in a bright room such as a conservatory, or in a greenhouse. In mild regions, the Pineapple Flower can also be grown outdoors in the garden in full sun. A shady position will result in reduced flowering. Pots can be taken outdoors for the summer months and brought indoors before temperatures drop in autumn.
Plant the bulbs 10 cm deep and 20-30 cm apart into a container filled with a mix of coarse, well-drained soil. Provide consistent watering, 2-3 times per week during spring and summer, ensuring the soil remains moderately moist. Do not allow the bulbs to sit in wet soil over the winter.
Mulch the soil surrounding your Eucomis bulbs or top dress pots in late autumn.
