Fritillaria Sewerzowii Green Eyes
M5403
Unusual green-yellow petals encase dark, nearly black centres—each flower of the fritillaria Sewerzowii Green Eyes is a study in contrast.
Flowers emerge in succession through April and May. Best grown in a sheltered, sunny spot with gritty soil. A conversation piece and a magnet for garden connoisseurs.
Care Guide
Failing to flower after the first year is due to a lack of potash fertiliser, which is necessary for spurring bloom formation for the following year’s flowering.
Plant large bulbs 15cm (6”) deep and small bulbs 8cm (3”) deep, in well-drained soil.
Plant bulbs on their side to prevent water getting into the hollow crown.
