Allium Taebago
M5045
Elegant Allium ‘Taebago’ is a clever cross between two popular varieties, bearing the widely spaced, firework-like form of Schubertii, along with height and richness of colour from its other parent, Allium Atropurpureum.
Large, lilac-rose flowers sparkle in the garden during July, blooming a little later than most Alliums, therefore extending the season of interest beyond mid-summer.
Leave the heads to fade and dry naturally on their stems to add textural interest during autumn and winter months. The flowers are also wonderful for cutting and using both fresh and dried in seasonal arrangements.
Care Guide
Plant in rich, well-drained soil.
The larger bulbs should be planted 10cm (4”) deep and the smaller ones 5cm (2”) deep; they may be left undisturbed for many years.
