Dutch Iris Carmen
M5642
Dutch Iris Carmen enchants with exquisite violet-pink and white flowers, delicately adorned with ethereal blue veins and a striking yellow blotch. This variety brings a touch of romance to the garden, its blossoms resembling fine porcelain kissed by morning dew.
The gentle hues blend harmoniously, creating a serene, enchanting atmosphere. Ideal for borders or bouquets, Carmen’s delicate beauty leaves a lasting impression.
Care Guide
Cultivate Dutch Iris in a sunny area of the garden with free-draining soil.
Plant the teardrop bulbs in autumn with their pointy tips facing up, 10-15cm deep and 15cm apart in the soil. For best effect, grow in large groups.
Silky flowers in vibrant hues bloom during June and July on stems 50-95cm tall. Excellent for cutting. Leave some foliage behind to die back naturally and feed the bulb for next year’s flowers.
Bulbs will naturalise easily when left undisturbed in a warm, dry location.
