Care Guide
Plant herbaceous Peonies in autumn or spring a sunny, well-drained location. Do not plant too deeply, the eyes should sit no more than 1.5 cm below soil level once the ground has settled and should be spaced 60-90 cm apart in the soil, depending on variety.
Fertile soil which is moist and free draining is best for Peonies. Dig plenty of organic matter such as well-rotted manure into a trench or hole prior to planting bare roots. Water newly planted Peonies in well but avoid overwatering thereafter. Plants are long-lived and will naturally establish themselves in time, requiring very little care.
Cut stems and foliage back in late autumn.

The golden, buttercup-like blooms of Eranthis ‘Cilicica’ are a welcome sight, introducing a pop of cheerful colour to the garden, during the darkest months of the year.
Winter aconites flower during January and February, producing valuable, colourful groundcover. These sunny gems thrive in areas of dappled shade, in moist, fertile soil and will multiply easily beneath the ground.
Eranthis ‘Cilicica’ produces finely cut, attractive bronzed-yellow foliage and flowers slightly later than the popular, more commonly seen cultivar ‘Hyemalis’
Plant the corms amongst Snowdrops and Crocus for a charming, late winter tapestry, blooming beneath mature trees or in a woodland border. These Eranthis 'In the Green' are already shooting, and arrive in growth and already reaching towards the light.
Strong roots establish quicker, and flowering comes earlier. ‘Bulbs in the Green’ can offer timely success to seasoned gardeners and beginners alike, because growth is visible from the moment you place each plant in the soil.
