Trumpet Lilium Pink Perfection
L3295
Show-stopping, purple-pink trumpets topping tall stems make Trumpet-Shaped Lily ‘Pink Perfection’ an excellent flower to grow for cutting.
One of the easiest lilies to grow, this award-winning beauty is the recipient of a sought-after award of garden merit from the RHS, a true sign of garden excellence. Outer petals and buds appear a darker, bruised-purple shade which gives subtle contrast and depth to the spectacular trumpet-shaped lilium 'Pink Perfection' flowers.
Plant the bulbs in well-drained soil, or large pots of gritty, rich compost in a sunny, sheltered spot where its alluring looks and heady fragrance will be enjoyed on late summer days.
Care Guide
To cultivate lilies, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil, digging a hole 15 cm deep. Plant the bulbs 15-23 cm apart, ensuring they sit 15 cm below the soil surface. Water the surrounding soil well, maintaining soil moisture until growth emerges. Young shoots may be susceptible to slug damage, so use wildlife-friendly methods such as a top layer of sand to protect emerging growth. Most Lilies can also be grown in pots – ensure containers are deep and have large drainage holes in the base. As the majestic stems ascend, they will reach heights of 45-150 cm, depending on variety. Support taller cultivars with stakes as they grow. Use dilute, balanced liquid plant feed every two weeks during the summer. Spray as soon as you notice the bright red lily beetle or their larvae.
