Cosmos ‘Astrosanguineus’ is a decadent treat for your garden, with the delicious rich fragrance of dark chocolate laced with vanilla. Sumptuous, velvety maroon blooms dance on long, wiry stems for an airy, elegant addition to pots and borders.

Care Guide
Plant perennial Cosmos roots 5-8 cm deep in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, spacing 30 cm apart. Rich, chocolate-scented, maroon or pink blooms, measuring 5-8 cm in diameter are produced in July and August. The alluring, velvety flowers top stems reaching 60-90 cm tall.
Not frost hardy. Mulch the crowns with peat-free compost in autumn after cutting back stems or lift and re-pot in a greenhouse for protection. Can be grown in containers of well-drained, rich compost.
