Arisaema Tortuosum
M6035
Arisaema 'Tortuosum' is a captivating Himalayan species that brings height, elegance, and a touch of the unexpected to shaded gardens. The spathe itself is typically green to olive with soft stripes or mottling, curving gracefully around the base of the towering spadix.
Known as the Whipcord Cobra Lily, Arisaema 'Tortuosum' stands apart from other varieties for its extraordinary flower, a tall, upright spathe crowned by a very long, narrow spadix that rises dramatically above the hood. The effect is architectural, surreal, and instantly eye-catching.
Care Guide
Plant Arisaema in a cool, shaded location, in well-drained, rich soil. Tubers should be nestled in 15-25 cm deep and spaced 15-20 cm apart. Soil should be consistently moist without becoming waterlogged as the tubers are susceptible to rot. Apply mulch around the plants in late autumn to protect Arisaema from frost.
