Alstroemeria Ligtu Hybrids

Plant a mass of warm colour to ignite summer borders and pots with Alstroemeria ‘Ligtu Hybrids’. Clusters of exotic, funnel-shaped flowers bloom in an array of bright shades, from golden-yellow, red, tangerine, through pink to white. The bold flowers feature elongated, curved stamens and pretty flecks of maroon on their upper and often lower petals.
Easy to grow in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun, Alstroemeria ‘Ligtu Hybrids’ are rewarding and highly floriferous plants. Florist’s favourite, Peruvian lilies have an exceptional vase life and bring a tropical look to floral arrangements and bouquets.
Care Guide
For thriving Alstroemeria, choose a sunny location with well-drained, light soil. Plant rhizomes 10-15 cm deep and 30 cm apart. Maintain consistent moisture, ensuring the soil remains damp. A profusion of multi-headed, vibrant blooms appear between June and October which are long-lasting and excellent for cutting. Top dress in spring and once again during the growing season. Shorter varieties are excellent for container planting.

Flaunting exquisite, pristine blooms of milky white, Eucharis ‘Amazonica’ bears umbels of up to 6 pendulous flower heads, dangling like chandeliers.
Native to Ecuador, this tender perennial will be a mesmerising addition to your greenhouse or indoor plant collection. Each strong stem is surrounded by an abundance of glossy, dark green foliage to emphasise the glinting blooms.
Flowering on and off throughout the summer months, Eucharis ‘Amazonica’ is highly scented, filling the room with sweet, fruity fragrance. The RHS has bestowed an Award of Garden Merit upon this variety, in recognition of its first-rate performance and reliability.
